The FIAP SurfSkim Active is ideal to eliminate the pond surface from pollen, leaves and coarse dirt particles. A connected pump (FIAP Aqua Active pump series) sucks off a thin water film, creating a current towards the installed FIAP SurfSkim Active. Dirt particles larger than approx. 10 mm are retained in the float basket and must be removed regularly in order not to affect the entire capacity of the skimmer. Smaller dirt particles are transported via the pump into the connected filter system. That way you achieve a permanently clean water surface and the reduction of the nutrient loading and algae formation.
